Niche Building Solutions has taken out the Master Builders’ Southern Regions Excellence in Building Award in the Medium Density (5 or more dwelling category) for their work on Sheargold’s Emerson Rd, Dapto project.

The 7-unit development posed several challenges not least the extreme slope of the block, along with its civil constraints. These created many logistical problems, which Peter Smith, owner of Niche, was able to overcome without affecting the quality of the overall finish of the project. Each individual unit was designed to utilise the available space, cross winds and views and incorporate many practical touches along with generous alfresco decks, resulting in a collection of perfectly positioned, light and airy residences that perfectly align with Sheargold’s core value of creating inspiring spaces.

Peter Smith has previously shown his skill and attention to detail in Sheargold’s The Gallery development at Figtree, 12 up-market townhouses which were again, built on a difficult site and received a Master Builder’s award. Emerson Road was a build-to-rent project and remains part of Sheargold’s investment property portfolio.
